Presets and sharing

Save a mix, move it to another computer, or share it with other Noctívago users.

A preset is a saved mix: which sounds are in it, each one's volume, its Sound Groups, whole-mix processing, and any per-preset sound settings you made in Remix. The Mixer page covers creating, loading, and autosaving presets; this page covers moving them between computers and people.

Exporting and importing a preset file

  1. Open Presets from the Mixer toolbar.
  2. Click Export next to a preset. You get one .ncvpreset file with the mix settings and its sounds' audio.
  3. On the other computer, open Presets and click Import preset…, then pick the file.
  4. A review window lists every sound: whether it's already in your library, included in the file, or needs to be located. Confirm to add the preset.

Sound Groups and per-preset sound settings travel with the file. A sound that's already in your library is reused as-is, and the preset's settings for it apply only inside that preset, so your other presets aren't affected.

The Community tab

The Community tab is a shared library of presets made by other Noctívago users. It has three views:

ViewWhat it's for
BrowseSearch by name or tag, sort by newest or most downloaded, and scroll for more. Import opens the same review window as a preset file.
Share a presetPick one of your presets, give it a name, your name, a description, and tags, then publish it.
My uploadsUpdate a preset you shared (from any of your local presets) or delete it.

What gets uploaded

No account needed

Noctívago creates a private key on your computer the first time you share. That key is what lets you update or delete your own uploads, so they can only be managed from the computer you shared them from.

Reporting

Every preset in Browse has a Report button. A preset reported by several different people is hidden automatically until it's reviewed.
